Thomas Kohlmeier

Thomas Kohlmeier co-founded Nivalion in 2016. He is the firm’s Co-CEO, responsible for Origination and Legal, Compliance and Risk Management. Thomas has over 20 years’ experience in litigation funding and was a member of the Executive Board of Legial AG, part of the Munich Re Group. He was integral to the establishment of Legial’s litigation funding business and led its claims management department. Thomas also sat on the Executive Board of the Federation of German Debt Collecting Firms (BDIU). Before joining Legial, he was in private practice specialising in litigation and appeals risk assessment. Thomas is a law graduate from the University of Regensburg and speaks German and English. He is recognised by Who’s Who Legal as a Thought Leader in Third Party Funding and by Lawdragon as an outstanding litigation funder. Thomas speaks German and English.
